Welcome to yama & yarrow!
I am on this bumpy, twisting and turning journey through life right there with you! My heart has called me to heal myself so that I can help others to find the strength within to heal themselves. I have learned so much already but still eager to fill my heart, soul, mind and body along the way. I am excited to share, heal, create, learn and play along side with you!
With love,
Jacqueline Stocker
Hiking
A Cape Cod girl knowing only sand dunes as mountains arrived in New York when she was 10. When her Dad would come to visit he would take her exploring waterfalls and mountains and the woods. She finally found home. This felt right. As she grew she found other loves and homes but the mountains remained. She always returned to them. When in pain, filled with sadness, in times of panic, in times of joy, times of warmth, times of celebration they were always here for her.
The mountains guided me through everything and now I'm here to share their magic with you. Hiking and spending time in nature is truly therapeutic. I'm making my dreams a reality reaching goals I never imagined. Let me help you do the same!
Herbalism
After figuring out I had food allergies and sensitivities through elimination diets, while having doctors constantly tell me that I was fine I had doubt in the medical world. I feel we are constantly fed pills and propaganda to mask symptoms not really getting to the heart of our health crisis. I have come believe that a combination of western medicine and alternative healing processes, such as herbalism, should be common practice. The plants have great power both in nature and within our bodies. I completed an intro to herbalism course called Wild Gather right in Germantown, New York. Learn from two beautiful humans Mandana Vasseghi-Boushee and Lauren Giambrone. I continue to educate myself every grow and connecting to this beautiful planet we call home.
Jacqueline’s Yoga Journey
Yoga found me at a time when I had lost touch with the world around me and also with myself. Yoga guided me to find the strength within to create healing and balance within my own life. I knew right away this was a gift I would want to share with others. In 2019 I completed my 200-hr teacher training at The Yoga House. Growing up in Woodstock, it’s no surprise I turned out to be an artist, Reiki healer, herbalist and a yoga teacher. I use all of my creative and healing backgrounds along with nature to inspire each of my classes. I firmly believe that I am here as a guide and to invite practitioners through a flow in a safe supported space. Allowing for each practitioner to connect to their own body and go where it takes them. Yoga is here for playful expression, and each practice is a learning experience led from deep, intuitive movements. I hope to inspire those around me to connect to their intuition to find their own inner strength.
